Jakarta, 21 November 2025 – Terra Agri has successfully completed a large-scale drone spraying program in Palembang, South Sumatra, focusing on pest and disease control in oil palm plantations. The project took place from March 9 to May 6, 2025, covering plantation blocks with medium to high levels of pest infestation.
The engagement was structured on a per-hectare basis and marked the first official collaboration between Terra Agri and the estate. The decision to proceed was supported by a multi-year review of Terra Agri’s proven performance in nearby plantation operations, as well as its established credibility and operational capacity within the industry.
For this project, Terra Agri deployed the E16 spraying drone, equipped with a 16-liter tank. Across three operational phases, more than 7,900 hectares were treated. The first phase involved 23 drones, followed by 17 drones in the second phase and 8 drones in the final phase. Each unit achieved a daily coverage of around 18 to 20 hectares, depending on weather and site conditions.
The treatment program tackled pest and disease challenges in oil palm crops, helping mitigate potential outbreaks and protect plantation productivity.
Although this was a seasonal engagement, both parties expressed interest in future collaboration, subject to pest pressure and field conditions.
