Senior Drone Engineer
Position Summary
The Senior Drone Engineer is responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of drone (UAV) systems and their supporting technologies. This role also leads the technical team in advanced troubleshooting, ensuring flight quality, operational safety, and continuous innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate drone systems (hardware & software).
- Conduct flight tests, tuning, and UAV performance analysis.
- Handle advanced technical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Manage projects and mentor junior engineers.
- Integrate various payloads (LiDAR, multispectral, thermal, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and aviation regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics).
- 3+ years of experience in UAV/drone engineering.
- Proficient in flight controllers, mission planning, and sensor integration.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting, CAD, and basic programming.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Experienced in leading teams and projects.
- Holding a Remote Pilot Certificate is a plus.
