Account Executive - Malaysia

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Account Executive to manage the company’s day-to-day financial operations and administrative support. This role will be responsible for handling full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), inventory records, statutory compliance, payroll and benefits processing, as well as general office administration.

Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

  • Handle full set of accounts including monthly journal entries, GL reconciliation, and financial statement preparation (P&L, balance sheet, etc.).
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR): issue invoices, follow up on collections, and reconcile customer accounts.
  • Handle Accounts Payable (AP): verify supplier invoices, process payments, and maintain proper documentation.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely updates of cash books.
  • Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly financial reports for management review.

Inventory & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform periodic stock reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS), tax regulations (SST, Income Tax), and other statutory requirements.
  • Assist in preparation for internal and external audits, as well as tax filings (e.g., Form E, CP 204, EA Form, etc.).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Process monthly payroll, statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS), and income tax (PCB).
  • Maintain employee records related to leave, claims, allowances, and benefits.
  • Support HR with reporting and government submissions related to staff remuneration.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain organized records for finance and admin functions, both physical and digital.
  • Oversee office procurement (e.g., stationery, utilities) and liaise with service providers and vendors.
  • Provide administrative support to other departments when required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in handling full set of accounts.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian financial reporting standards and statutory regulations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently, with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
