Mechanical Engineer
Position Summary
Responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on generators and inverter chargers to support agricultural drone operations. The role covers mechanical, electrical, inverter, and load testing aspects and requires a high level of mobility, including travel to plantation and agricultural sites.
Job Description
- Diagnostics & Repair: Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on DJI generator/inverter charger units, such as the D6000i, D9000i, D12000i, or similar equipment.
- On-Site Service: Conduct site visits and business travel to plantation and agricultural areas to perform maintenance, emergency repairs, and on-site equipment testing.
- Engine Maintenance: Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on internal combustion engines, including EFI systems, oil changes, filter and spark plug replacement, and cooling system maintenance.
- Electrical & Inverter Repair: Inspect and repair high-current DC electrical systems, inverters, stators/rotors, and electrical protection systems.
- Performance & Load Testing: Conduct load testing and agricultural drone battery charging simulations after repairs to ensure the unit’s performance, stability, and safety.
- Calibration & System Updates: Use DJI diagnostic software and firmware tools to read and reset error logs, calibrate sensors, and perform system or firmware updates.
- Spare Parts & Service Reports: Manage spare parts requirements, prepare service reports and repair histories, and provide preventive maintenance recommendations to users.
Job Requirements
- Hold a valid SIM A (Indonesian driver’s license) and be able to drive both manual and automatic vehicles to support field service activities.
- Willing to travel for business and visit plantation or agricultural areas based on operational requirements.
- Minimum education: Vocational High School (SMK) in Automotive Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or a Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Have at least 1–2 years of experience in repairing generators, inverter generators, EFI-equipped vehicle engines, or electrical equipment.
- Understand the working principles of internal combustion engines (2-stroke/4-stroke), EFI fuel systems, and mechanical components.
- Understand electrical schematics, high-current DC systems, and inverters, and be proficient in using multimeters and clamp meters.
- Able to read technical error codes and perform systematic troubleshooting to identify root causes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An interest or experience in drones, agricultural technology, generators, or electrical equipment will be an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience handling DJI generators/inverters or similar equipment.
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and firmware updates.
- Experience conducting load testing and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Willingness to work with high mobility across operational and plantation areas.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to provide technical explanations to users or customers.
