Field Engineer
Position Summary
Terra Drone Indonesia is currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team in a diverse technical and operational role. This position covers a combination of research, hands-on hardware maintenance, training, and customer interaction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting product development and operational excellence through systematic testing, team audits, pilot training, and ongoing technical maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research to support product and process improvement.
- Organize training programs for pilots to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
- Perform hardware repairs and handle technical issues in a timely manner.
- Audit team performance and processes to ensure alignment with standards and best practices.
- Coordinate and carry out product trials with customers to gather feedback and validate performance.
- Perform routine hardware maintenance and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
Requirements
- Experienced in operating spraying and spreading drones (such as DJI Agras or XAG)
- Experienced in the design, development, and maintenance of drone systems
- Experienced in programming and using flight control software such as QGroundControl or Mission Planner
- Able to operate drones
- Possesses soldering skills and the ability to assemble electronic components
- Holds a drone pilot certification from a recognized aviation authority (an added advantage)
- Has good communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Has time and project management skills to handle multiple tasks at once
- Able to adapt and quickly learn new technologies
- Willing to be assigned to project locations throughout Indonesia as needed
- Willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
