Senior Drone Engineer
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Drone Engineer to support operational activities, maintenance, and the development of drone systems. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal drone performance through maintenance, repairs, and customer trials, while also providing training to the operational team. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, is capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment, and is willing to be deployed on-site with a flexible work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead R&D and development of drone systems
- Manage training programs for pilots & engineers
- Oversee maintenance and repair of drones, gensets, and batteries
- Conduct technical audits and provide improvement recommendations
- Manage technical claims and customer trials
- Establish advanced maintenance standards to ensure optimal performance
- Develop work plans and technical reports
- Oversee quality audits and SOP implementation
- Collaborate cross-functionally in technical decision-making
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical / Aerospace / Mechanical or related field)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the drone industry
- Proficient in flight control software (QGroundControl / Mission Planner)
- Experience with custom and agriculture drones
- Able to operate drones (certification is a plus)
- Skilled in soldering and electronic assembly
- Strong communication skills; innovative and reliable
- Able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to work flexible hours and be deployed on-site
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
